God said that without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6). A believer who understands the will find himself continually walking in some or the other faith project as “The just shall live by faith” (Hebrews 10:38, Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11). There are three things necessary to receive by faith: the God kind of Faith, Love and Patience. Without any one of these three, you won’t see the manifestation of your faith project.
HOWEVER there is a continual battle not to trip over your flesh (being led by your 5 physical senses). And the good news is Jesus understands! Example: If you are trusting God for employment, believe (in your heart/spirit) and confess (with your mouth) that you are employed. That song says let the weak say? I am strong! (Joel 3:10) Let the sick say? I am well. Let the poor say? I am rich because of what the Lord has done! Amen. Say you went for several interviews and you were turned down on all of them, what do you confess now? You still say I am employed in Jesus Name! Because of what the Lord has done. However the disappointment you may experience is very real and very understandable and thank God Jesus knows it well. When Lazarus died Jesus wept! It is the shortest verse in the bible. “Jesus wept.” (John 11:35) That is enough to prove to us the emotions Jesus (Son of Man) had to deal with. Why did He weep if He knew He was going to raise Lazarus from the dead! He came to earth in the form of a body with a soul just like ours and so He too understands hurt. When John the Baptist (Jesus’ cousin and forerunner) was beheaded Jesus withdrew Himself into a deserted place. When Jesus was faced with the cross, He cried the same prayer out to His Father for 3 hours long in an agony that was enough to kill Him. Then He said to His disciples: Pray, for the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is week.
My word to you this week is, Jesus understands, but don’t cast away your confidence, God’s delight is not in those who draws away from faith.
