Many Christians have this idea that whatever happens to them happened for a reason and good or bad, it was in God’s plan. I want to share with you about the as seen in Matthew 13 from verse 3. Jesus explained to the disciples that the sower sows the WORD (God’s Word as found in the bible), the ground or soil is the condition of people’s hearts. Some had rocky ground some on the wayside, some had thorny ground and some had good ground.
There is one thing we need to set straight early on in our lives: God does not determine the condition of my heart, I do. The devil does not determine the condition of my heart, I do. I have a free will, I can yield to Satan or I can yield to God’s Word. I have been equipped with every tool I might need on my journey to making the right decisions. Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross paved my way to salvation and victory if I would only receive it. Whatever type of ground you are, determines the harvest size that you will produce. If you want to yield a 100 fold harvest, then start to live according to the Word.
Mat 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandethwhich also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
- Hear the Word (the more you hear the more you can produce)
- Understand the Word (ask Holy Spirit to teach you)
- Bear fruit and bring forth (act on the Word you know)
If you are going to bring forth a great harvest, then you would have to act like you know and believe that the Word you’ve learned is true. It is not good enough to just say it is true, you need to act like it is.
