Horses plays and integral part of our daily lives. Our children works hard to care, train and enjoy their horses. They have big dreams and aspirations.

Well the New year has started and soon the schools will begin and things will hopefully get back into the normal routine.

We have a very exciting year ahead of us. Abby, Noah and Maggie will be starting Grade 1 as soon as their books arrive and the rest are carrying on with the schoolwork.

Our boys Tommy and Joe have asked if they may also participate in the horse shows this year, along with Natasha, Sarah and Thandi Ray.
Off course we are excited about the prospect of the boys participating and doing as well as our girls. However with more of them participating, we will have to take more horses along as they will be riding in the same classes at the same time.
The horses are not a problem, we have a horse from Ray of Sunshine Horse Haven for each child. It is the riding gear. Our children are penalized for not having the SAR riding gear.
We also need to transport more horses, so we will need a sponsor for the transportation or a sponsor for a bigger horse trailer.
With fuel, extra feed, camping fees and entrance fees we are looking at about R5000 per show weekend. ( excluding the rental of a horse trailer) Our first showing weekend is already in February, at the Bredasdorp show. Because it is so far we might not take the boys along, however the judges at the shows has told us that our girls have so much talent and potential that they do need to participate in as many shows as possible.
Therefore I appeal to you our friends, we would very much appreciate it if we could have sponsors for our girls to pursue their dreams. This extra expenses puts a great deal of pressure on our already very tight budget. A commitment of sponsorship for the children/ their horses would very much be appreciated.

Both Ray of Sunshine House and Ray of Sunshine Horse Haven are community projects run under the MEC-Community Services umbrella. MEC Community services is a registered NPO and PBO. All financial contributions are eligible to receive tax certificates.

Please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. should you want to make a commitment to sponsor a child/horse for the 2017 Showing events.

We would also appreciate any riding gear and/or riding equipment.
I teach my children that everything is possible and that they can reach for their dreams. Also to dream big.
Be a part of making their dreams come true!

And we put action to our faith. Writing our petition towards heaven, signing it, taking communion (bread and oros works) over it and Thanking God for granting our petition in Jesus name.

Ahhh what a privilege and honor to teach these children, these fundamental faith principles. Thank You Abba for entrusting these precious children to me.
